Many have inquired as to the meaning and origin of ".308". Well, now your questions have been answered. I give you: "The Meaning of .308 !"

My main handle for ALL chatting has always been "Blade". Taken from my name, Blake, Blade also portrayed one of my favorite video games characters from "Rise of the Dragon". Other influences might have been "Blade Runner" or the blade of a knife, but it mainly derived from my name.

One night in "The Lobby" (using the handle "Blade") I began to talk to the leader of the group formerly known as "The 8's". I had no idea who the 8's were, or, that this guy was their leader. I got interested and joined up with the 8's. First item on my agenda: Find a new handle.

Of course my new handle had to have an "8"in it so I began to think up of name with an "8" in it. Instantly I came up with my favorite hunting rifle: The Winchester .308. This weapon is also used as a sniper rifle, but primarily, it's used for deer hunting. The name .308 stuck and that is now my most regularly used handle.

I never knew that so many people would become almost obsessed with finding out the true meaning to .308. I don't mean to offend anyone in anyway having a handle named after a potentially deadly weapon. I figured no one would really care what it meant, but now you have proven me wrong.
